Biography

Gillian Shimabukuro is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School (May 2025), currently working as a Law Fellow with the Center for Patient Partnerships. 

Gillian Shimabukuro has devoted her academic career and work to social justice and reform, especially for underserved communities. In law school, Gillian received the Bernard Berk Memorial Award for her work with low income communities. She also participated in work with the Center for Patient Partnerships and the Center for Disability and Elder Law as a student.
