Biography
Jacob R. Gardner is an attorney at Duxstad McDaniel Law Group, S.C., where he maintains a general practice with a focus on business, municipal, and family law. He frequently serves as a guardian ad litem throughout southern/southwestern Wisconsin. He returns to the University of Wisconsin Law School in Fall 2025 as an Adjunct Professor to co-teach LGBTQ+ Law, building on his deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and legal education.
A double Badger, Jacob holds a J.D. from UW Law School, a B.A. in Political Science and Communication Arts from UW–Madison, and an M.B.A. from Cardinal Stritch University. His previously teaching experience includes Law in Action through UW–Madison’s Legal Studies department and serving as a teaching assistant the UW-Madison Political Science department. His background includes legal work for both private law firms and public interest clinics, as well as leadership in community organizations focused on youth, the arts, and environmental stewardship.
