Biography

Jini Jasti serves as the Associate Dean for Alumni Relations and External Affairs for the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Jini oversees the External Affairs department,which manages all external communications, annual fundraising, stewardship, alumni relations, alumni events and major institutional events for the Law School. She works closely with the Dean, faculty and staff to foster closer connections and engagement between the school and its external audience and stakeholders.

Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Jini grew up in Northern Minnesota. In 2000, she graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in political science. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School. While at the Law School , Jini co-founded the Wisconsin Asian Bar Association. She received both the Bruce Beilfuss Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Service to the Law School and the Ray and Ethel Brown Award for Outstanding Scholarship and Service to the Law School and the Community. Following Law School, Jini served as a clerk for the Honorable M. Joseph Donald of the Milwaukee Circuit Court. Jini then practiced law with Kasdorf Lewis & Swietlik in Milwaukee, concentrating in insurance defense and civil litigation.
