Lauren joined the Law School in 2017 as the Director of Scholarship Administration & Recruitment in the Office of Admissions & Financial Aid. In that role, she was the designated advisor for all JD students, and also managed exam and grade administration.
Before joining the Law School, Lauren practiced law in her hometown of Racine, WI. She specialized in estate planning, trust and estate administration, trust and estate litigation, elder law, and labor law.
While in Law School, Lauren was the recipient of the Bruce Beilfuss Memorial Scholarship, the O.K. Johnson Jr. Law School Scholarship, and the Ray & Ethel Brown Award. She was very active in the Law School community and a member of several organizations, including serving as the Vice President of Academic Affairs of the Student Bar Association for two years. She thoroughly enjoyed her clinical experiences with the Wisconsin Innocence Project and the Prosecution Project.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys playing Ultimate frisbee and volleyball, double bogie-ing nearly every par four, biking along the shores of Lake Monona, eating her way around Madison, and cooking. She recently discovered pickleball and is always looking for new opponents. If you are lucky, her handsome cat Gatsby might make an appearance during a remote meeting. Lauren was the first graduate of the Guinness Academy in Dublin in 2013.
