Biography

I am pleased to be back at UW law school. I work in international and environmental law primarily. My current projects include a paper on the U.N. plastics treaty negotiations. Further, I am working on a project on climate refugees and a project on environmental sustainbility in South Asian. My other colleague helped me write about Africa as he is a brilliant scholar from Nigeria.  These works will  be published worldwide. Further, I will have people interpret for me into, Cherokee, Nauythal, Navajo, Menominee, Guarani, and Quetcha. I speak basic Guarani, and Nauythal, and understand basic Cherokee, but cannot write it.

My other works include my interest and collaboration with Brazil, my heritage is Brazilian, Mexican and creole form the United States. I plan to write in French, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, and German further, as I speak those languages at native proficiency. Further, I plan to teach next year to Brazilian students on international environmental law, and work in the Northeast of Brazil, Rio, and Manaus. Lastly my work on Southeast Asia, will likely be published next year. I also help out with events for the Global Legal Studies Center. I try to take into account the wants of students and faculty, when considering speakers.

Some fun facts about me, are that I speak 7 languages fluently, I am the first postgraduate environmental law fellow in the law schools history, and I practice in all areas of public interest law. I'm an immigration lawyer, and wrote my final law school paper on criminal law and immigration intersection. I played sports in middle through high school. I plan to play college football while earning my degree in environmental engineering from Iowa State University
