Biography

Leo Barolo Gargiulo serves as the Communications Specialist for the University of Wisconsin Law School. He joined the External Affairs team in October 2024. 

Leo provides essential writing, editing, proofreading and publishing tasks, including social media, newsletter, web posting and news stories. Additionally, he assists in the development and distribution of print and digital content and provides general support to the EA team.

Prior to joining External Affairs, Leo worked as the Communications Specialist for the UW-Madison Laboratory of Genetics and the Center for Genomic Science Innovation, where he wrote and distributed the Genomics & Technology Newsletter. He is originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and has a master's degree in Life Sciences Communications.

In his free time, Leo enjoys surrounding himself with nature, collecting insects, playing the drums, and sitting with friends to play Dungeons and Dragons.
