Biography

Sopen Shah is a partner at Perkins Coie LLP in Madison, where she handles complex litigation from trial to appeal, including in the U.S. and Wisconsin Supreme Courts. Her experience spans administrative law, consumer class actions, constitutional law, criminal law, environmental law, labor and employment, and privacy. She previously served as Deputy Solicitor General at the Wisconsin Department of Justice, where she handled the state's high-profile criminal and civil cases.

Sopen is listed in Chambers USA, a Member of the American Law Institute, and a recipient of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s biennial “Best Brief” award. Before attending Yale Law School, she was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and an on-air financial analyst at Bloomberg LP.
