The election is coming up in just a few weeks and as the date fast approaches it is good to be aware of several deadlines for registering to vote and for early voting.
Oct. 16: Last day for online voter registration in Wisconsin
Oct. 22-Nov. 3: Early voting
You can vote early at one of many locations on and off campus.
On-campus early voting locations are open weekdays, Oct. 22-Nov. 1
Memorial Union — 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Union South — 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Health Sciences Learning Center — 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Nov. 5: Election Day
Election Day polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
If you vote on Election Day, you must cast your ballot at your assigned polling place.
Who is eligible to vote in Wisconsin?
You are eligible to vote in Wisconsin if you:
Are a U.S. citizen; Will be 18 years of age on or before Election Day; Have resided in Wisconsin for at least 28 consecutive days before Election Day; AND Are not currently serving a felony sentence, including probation/parole.
Note: You can only vote once per election cycle, in one location. You cannot vote in Madison AND a separate home district.
If you’ve voted before and you’re living at the same address as the last time you voted (including apartment number), you should already be registered.

You will need to register or re-register if:
You are a first-time voter, You have moved to a new address (or even changed apartment numbers) since the last time you voted or you have changed your legal name since the last time you voted.
