Hello Law Badgers both new and old- welcome to the Fall ‘22 semester!
Whether you’re a returning Badger or brand new, we’re guessing that you’ve already done some exploring of the Law Library physical space- we’ve seen many of you here studying.
However, we want to introduce (or re-introduce) you to more than meets the eye about the Law Library!
Did you know…?
- The Law Library has eight study rooms available for checkout to law students- you can check them out in 2 hour increments using your Wiscard
- There are five floors of the Law Library- the two largest reading rooms (Habush, Habush, & Rottier- the one with the view of Bascom Hill; and Quarles & Bradey- the one with the mural) are on the fifth floor, but there is study space on all five floors. If the two big reading rooms seem crowded, we recommend exploring floors further down to find a good spot
- You can follow the Law Library on social media- we’re on Facebook and Twitter
- We maintain a Digital Repository of UW Law School faculty scholarship and other UW Law School related items. If you’d like to check out some of your professors’ scholarship or past issues of the Wisconsin Law Review, that’s your place to go!
- The Law Library has reference hours every day of the week, so please stop by to ask us questions. We’re available 9am-9pm on weekdays and 1-5pm on Saturdays and Sundays (during the semester). You can ask questions in person at the reference desk, by email, phone, or chat.
We’re so glad that you’re here and hope to see you at the reference desk soon (stop by just to say hi, too)!
