To kick off national Law Student Mental Health Awareness day, which this year falls on Saturday October 10th, the UW Law Library and Law Student Wellness Committee are highlighting several activities that we’d like to share with you:

Things to Keep Your Eye on at the Law Library ...

  • This Thursday 10/8  and Friday 10/9, ask for your free Stress Ball at the monitor desk outside the entrance to the law library (while supplies last.)
  • Beginning Wednesday, 10/14, keep your eye out for our weekly Wellness Wednesday posts on the Law Library’s Facebook page! These posts will cover resources to help you stay in an optimal state of wellness during these unprecedented times, and will cover areas like: Nutrition, Exercise, Managing Stress, and more.

Law Student Mental Health Awareness Events ...

  • The UW Law Student Wellness Committee invites you to the following free ABA Webinar:
Exploring the Intersection of Racial Justice, Social Activism, and Mental Health- Thursday October 8, 3:30pm, CDT.

  • The UW Law Student Wellness Committee invites you to a National Workshop hosted by the ABA Law Student Division. The workshop will discuss practical strategies that law students can undertake in the year ahead with their law schools, the ABA, and with the state bar board of examiners-  Friday, October 9th, 12pm, CDT.

Hope all of you are doing all you can to stay safe, well and happy during these times!

All the best,

Sunil Rao (Foreign and International Law Librarian) and B.J. Ramsay (Evening/Weekend Supervisor)
