With the end of the semester nearly here, please be aware of the Law Library schedule during winter break.  In addition to the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, the Library will be closed on Sat. Dec. 21 and Sun. Dec. 22, as well as Sat. Dec. 28 and Sun. Dec. 29.

If you are looking for ways to de-stress after finals, be sure to stop in soon and check-out the library's DVD collection of films and television series with legal themes.

Or perhaps settle in with a good book.  The library maintains an interesting collection of legal fiction. Head to the stacks on level 2 south and browse call number range PS to find thrillers by contemporary novelists such as John Grisham, Scott Turow or Linda Fairstein.  Another recommendation is Lowell Komie, author of three collections of short stories, and two novels. He won the Carl Sandburg Award for Fiction for his collection--The Lawyer's Chambers and Other Stories.  And for great historical reading don't forget the Law Library's Lincoln Collection.
