Making of Modern Law Now Available

The Law Library has recently purchased Making of Modern Law, a database containing over 22,000 legal treatises from the 19th- and early 20th- century. It covers all aspects of American and British law and encompasses a range of analytical, theoretical and practical literature for research in American and British legal history.

The wonderful thing about Making of Modern Law is that you can do full text searching of the contents of these historical legal treatises.  Although the library has many of these titles in print, the ability to keyword search them makes this content more accessible than ever before.

If you have any questions about Making of Modern Law, please contact a reference librarian.

Note that Hein Online also offers a collection of 16th- to early 20- century historical legal texts in their Legal Classics library.
