In May of 2008, Kathryn (Katie) Holtz joined the Remington Center for a one-year appointment as a clinical instructor in the Center's LAIP project. A 2008 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, Ms. Holtz brings extensive experience in clinical education and public service to LAIP. After earning a degree in Marketing and Government from the College of William and Mary in 2001, Ms. Holtz worked in political and non-profit fund-raising in Washington, D.C. and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a UW law student, she interned with the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee, ABC for Health, and the State Public Defender's Office in Milwaukee's Children's Court. As a Remington Center student during law school, Ms. Holtz also participated in the Criminal Appeals Project and the Family Court Assistance Project's Restraining Order Clinic, and worked as a project assistant "screening interviewer" for LAIP during her 3L year.
Ms. Holtz joins the Remington Center following the departure of William E. Rosales, who completed a two-year appointment as an LAIP clinical instructor in May. This fall, Mr. Rosales enters UCLA's doctoral program in sociology.
