Biography
Before joining the Legal Analysis, Advocacy, and Writing Faculty, Andrew Norman served as Senior University Legal Counsel in the University’s Office of Legal Affairs. In representing the University, his primary areas of practice included athletics compliance and contracting, corporate and business matters, procurement, taxation, sponsored research, and intellectual property. Prior to joining the University in 2010, Professor Norman worked in the Madison office of Quarles & Brady LLP, where his practice focused on business and intellectual property litigation.
Professor Norman is a Badger through and through, with a B.B.A., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business, and a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He is a member of the Order of the Coif and was a Managing Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review.

At the 2022 Legal Writing Institute Biennial Conference on July 22 in Washington, D.C., Professors Kim Peterson, Andrew Turner, Desmund Wu, Alison Stites, Ashby Fox, and Andrew Norman presented "What happens when LRW faculty stop being polite and start getting real about legal writing conventions they don't agree with?"
