Biography
Bethany Pluymers has served as the
Law
School's Associate Dean for
Administration since 2002. She is
chiefly responsible for the Law School's administrative infrastructure and
human resources, including financial planning and reporting, current and
long-range budget, resource management, payroll, benefits, purchasing, and
facility use and planning.
Dean Pluymers first
joined the
Law
School
as Assistant Dean for Administration, from 1999 to 2000. During her hiatus from the
Law
School from 2000 to 2002, she
served as Administrative Director of the Vollum Institute, a neuroscience
research facility at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in
Portland,
Oregon, where she directed the business and
administrative affairs for the 200-member institute.
Prior to her Madison and Oregon positions, Dean Pluymers served a nearly
15-year tenure in academic administration with the Washington University School
of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, as the Business Manager for the Department
of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics, Assistant Business Manager in the
Department of Pediatrics, and as the Division Administrator in Division of
Pediatric Oncology.
