Contacts for Financial Aid

There are two resources for financial assistance at the UW Law School: the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) and the Law School Admissions and Financial Aid Office. The OSFA, the University's main financial aid office, awards all federal loans as well as federal work-study funds. The Law School Admissions and Financial Aid Office awards scholarships based on a variety of criteria.

We have recently received feedback from our students that the OSFA is experiencing a backlog of phone calls and email messages resulting in some delays in responding to student inquiries regarding financial aid. Please know that the Law School Office of Admissions and Financial Aid is here to help. Students are encouraged to reach out to the Law School Office of Admissions and Financial Aid directly with questions about their federal loans or other concerns about their financial aid packages. Students should also contact the Law School Office of Admissions and Financial Aid with any questions about scholarships awarded by the Law School, as the Law School remains the authority on the terms of these scholarships.
