The L&E Clinic provides free legal services to UW faculty and staff, specifically with respect to participation in outside activities such as consulting, sitting on advisory boards, conducting seminars and classes, and even founding companies. 

Outside Activities

Outside activities often arise from Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) and may originate from the Office of Industrial Partnerships (OIP). These outside activities are permitted by the University provided certain disclosures are made and procedures are followed to ensure that University resources are not being used and University rights are not being given away.

We can assist clients by analyzing proposed contracts to identify any issues.
