About This Event
After carefully monitoring updates from campus leadership on the COVID-19 pandemic, we have, in consultation with the Law School's Dean's Office, decided to postpone the Retreat to fall 2021. New dates will be announced soon.
We will, however, have a virtual panel on racial justice on November 13th with keynote speaker Professor Penny Andrews and others tbd. Details will be announced soon.
The Institute for Legal Studies is pleased to announce the 10th Midwest Law and Society Retreat to be held at the University of Wisconsin-Madison on November 13-14, 2020. This biennial interdisciplinary retreat brings together faculty and graduate students from the region's diverse social science and law programs for a weekend of intellectual exchange and community building. The 2020 Retreat will offer opportunities for participants to receive feedback on works-in-progress, discuss research methods and professional issues, and develop future projects with colleagues in the region. Participants are encouraged to submit proposals on topics relating to law and society or to just attend the Retreat to join in the discussion.
Contact email@example.com with any questions. Advanced registration is required.
